DIED - July 11, Jennie May, infant daughter of E.D. and Harriet Eaton, aged 1 year 4 months and 15 days.

Why should we mourn our lot,
Since God has thought it best,
To call our little one to Heaven,
Where she is now at rest.

How anxiously we watched by her,
And caught her feeble breath;
But all her sufferings now are o'er,
Her lips are sealed in death.

True, true, it grieved our hearts to see,
The loved one torn away,
Into the cold and silent grave,
A tenement of clay.

Oh may we more submissive be,
And kiss the scourging rod,
Knowing oour little girl has gone,
To dwell in Heaven with God.
