Elkader Register, Thur., 16 Sept. 1886.

Jacob Marti, Sr., an old time resident of Marion township, died on the 4th inst. He was a native of Switzerland, but came to America, and located in Marion township in 1854. He was an industrious, honest man, well liked by all is neighbors, and his death will be sincerely mourned. He leaves a wife and six children.
