Clayton County Journal, 20 Jan. 1886.

Freddie Baumann, son of John Baumann, died Thursday last of diphtheria. He was a bright little fellow and his death fell like a thud upon his parents hearts, who so dearly loved him. Since his death a little baby of Mr. and Mrs. B's, only a year old, has just come down with it.

DIED - At the home of his parents in this township, on Friday last, Freddie, the three-years-old son of Mr. and Mrs. John Bauman. He was buried at Elgin on Saturday last.
