Smith, Malinda 'Lina' died 1885

Elkader Register, Thur., 07 Jan. 1886.

DIED - On Thursday evening last, at the home of her parents in this township, occurred the death of Lina, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Smith; aged 26 years. She had never enjoyed good health, and death kindly relieved her sufferings. May she rest in peace. The funeral occurred on Saturday last, and was quite largely attended. Her remains were laid away to their final rest in the East Side cemetery.

Note: Gravestone in Lot 111, East Side cemetery = Malinda Smith. Her parents (Fred & Harriet) & a couple siblings are buried Lot 111
