Clayton County Register, Thur., 12 Mar. 1931. Strawberry Point column.

The death of Mrs. Charlotte Hackett Schummel*, a former resident of this place, occurred Thursday, after an illness of nearly four months, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mabel Horsefall, at St. Paul. The body arrived here Friday evening and was taken to the Franklin undertaking parlors, where services were held on Saturday afternoon conducted by Rev. L. Troyer, pastor of the Congregational church. Interment took place in the local cemetery. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mabel Horsefall of St. Paul, one son, Frank Hackett of Ft. Dodge, and one step-son, Geo. Hackett, besides other relatives and friends.

Note: The gravestone in Strawberry Point cemetery for Henry Hackett includes "his wife Charlotte" Her year of birth, 1850, is engraved but not her DOD. Henry was her 1st husband. Her 2nd husband Frank Schubmehl, died 1929 and is buried in the Strawberry Point cemetery.
