Elkader Register, Thur., 21 Oct. 1920. Volga column.

Margret Dempster was born in Scotland, November 24, 1832. When she was nine years of age she came with her parents to America, settling in Michigan. In 1851 she was united in marriage to George Munger. The couple then came to Iowa, locating on a farm near Taylorville. Later they moved to Augusta, Wisconsin, where Mr. Munger engaged in business. In 1890 Mr. Munger died. Mrs. Munger kept a boarding house for three years, later returning to Iowa where she was united in marriage with Oskar Finch. They returned shortly to Augusta, Wis., and in 1912 Mr. Finch passed away. Three years ago she sold her interests in Augusta and came to live with her sister, Mrs. Dave Lowe, of Volga, where she has since resided. Mrs. Finch was united with the Universal church in which she was a faithful believer. She had no children but her loss is mourned by three step-children to whom she has always been a kind and loving mother. Mrs. Finch was apparently in her usual good health when death came Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Finch's passing is mourned by one brother John, of S. Dak., three sisters, Mrs. James Bissel and Mrs. Dave Lowe, of Volga, and Mrs. Mary Smith, of Missouri. Mrs. Finch was a very quiet woman, patient under all circumstances and grateful for every favor shown her. Short services were conducted by Rev. W. H. Smith and the remains were taken to Elkader Tuesday, where they were shipped to Augusta, Wis., for interment.

Mr. and Mrs. Dave Lowe and Mrs. James Bissel and Miss Maggie Boleyn accompanied the remains of Mrs. Finch to Augusta, Wis., Tuesday morning.
