The remains of Mrs. Earl Sherman, nee Miss Susan Balluff, of Hillsdale, Wyoming, were brought here Saturday morning for burial and the funeral services occurred at the St. Mary church Monday forenoon. Father Casey celebrated Requiem Mass and delivered the sermon. Mrs. Sherman was taken sick and an operation was found necessary and she was removed to a hospital in Denver, Colo., where death claimed her. She was the youngest daughter of Mrs. Mary Balluff and born at this place. She received her education and graduated from our public school, after which she taught for a short time when she took up nursing, in the Mercy Hospital at Dubuque and graduated. she went from there to Webster City and nursed until her marriage. Besides her husband and little daughter she leaves to mourn her loss her mother, Mrs. Mary Balluff, one brother and seven sisters: Frances V. Balluff, Mrs. Fred Everett, Mrs. M. Everett and Miss Gertrude Balluff, and Mrs. J. L. Wiltse, of Strawberry Point, Miss Josephine Balluff, who teaches at Eldora, Mrs. J. L. Meyers and Mrs. F. W. Shields, of Armour, S.D. Many out of town relatives and friends attended the funeral.
