Our community was shocked on Saturday afternoon when it was reported that Miss Carrie Thein had committed suicide by hanging herself in the hay-barn on the homestead. She was about 23 years of age and had been in poor health for some time past, which prompted her to take the fatal step. The funeral was held Tuesday at the Catholic church and was attended by a large crowd, Rev. Minogue officiating.
