H. H. Behrens died Thursday morning, June 10th, 1915, about five o'clock, at his home at 905 10th Ave., Clinton, Iowa, having been suffering over ten years with a complication of ailments.
He was born near Garnavillo, Iowa, Jan. 17th, 1877, and was 38 years, 4 months and 23 days of age at the time of his death.
After leaving the farm he bought and conducted a harness shop at Guttenberg, Iowa, but in a few years was compelled to give up his active duties on account of ill health.
Feb. 10th, 1914, he was married to Jennie E. Thyne, of Volga, Iowa, at St. Mary's Catholic church at Strawberry Point, Iowa.
He is survived by his wife and two sons, Walter Joseph, aged 10 years, and George William, aged 8 years. Also by his mother, one sister and four brothers.
His funeral, which was largely attended, was held at St. Mary's church at Strawberry Point on Saturday morning at 10:00 o'clock, conducted by Father Reynolds, and he was laid to rest beside his little daughter Josephine, who died May 6th, 1911.
The pall bearers were Mike Henry, John O'Brien, Will Henry, Mike Dinan, Martin Henry and Michael McTaggart.
