Rebecca Young was born in Alburg, Grand Isle county, Vt., in 1833 and died at Monona, April 15th, 1915. She was married to Augustus Eddy at Alburg, Vt., in 1855 and came to Iowa in 1856, where she always lived in and near Cresco. The husband and father died in 1904. Six children were born to this union: Austin, of Ehrhard, Minn; Mrs. Alice Cupernell, of Pasadena, Cal.; Mrs. Jennie Pike, of Alburg, Vt.; Mrs. Florence Bentz, of Springfield, Mo.; William, of Cresco, Iowa, and Melvin, of Monona, where she spent her last days in happiness and comfort. The funeral was held at the Congregational Church on Saturday, April 17th, at Cresco, Iowa, Rev. Robertson conducted the services. Burial in Cresco cemetery.
