Register and Argus, 04 Feb. 1915. Elkport column.
On Saturday morning occurred the death of another old pioneer settler, Meade P. Bloodworth. Mr. Bloodworth had been in poor health for some time but at the same time not confined to his bed until the week before his death. Mr. Bloodworth was seventy-nine years of age and an old soldier, having fought several years in the Civil War. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Irene, of this place, one son, Frank, of Manchester, besides other relatives and friends who have our sincerest sympathy. Funeral services were held at the house and interment was made in Mt. Harmony cemetery, Rev. Hansel officiating. May he rest in peace.
