Elkader Register, 29 Oct. 1884.

At the home of his parents in Highland township, on the 24th inst., occurred the death of John Meyers aged about 20 years, from blood poisoning. He was sick but a very short time and his death is a severe blow to his parents. He was buried on Monday, in the Catholic cemetery at this place. May he rest in peace.
