Elkader Register, 09 July 1884. Farmersburg column.
On the 4th inst., occurred the funeral of P. M. White, one of our old settlers. Mr. White came to Clayton county in 1846 and resided here until the day of his death, being then in his 68th year. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Mr. Powin, and was largely attended by friends and neighbors. The deceased was the father of E. C. White, of this place.
