A sad occurrence took place in our village last week, in the death of Mrs. Frerich. She had, with her husband arrived here from Germany about a month ago, and on Thursday last was taken suddenly ill. a physician was called but to no avail, and on Friday she died, leaving a husband and five little children to mourn her loss. They were strangers in a strange land, but the inhabitants did all they could to brighten her last hours. A large number followed her remains to its last resting place showing that even though a stranger, she was esteemed by the neighbors.
