Elkader Register, Thur., 25 Mar. 1880.

Died - At the residence of her son, near Ceres, March 17, 1880, Mrs. Cath_rine Bierbaum, of old age. Aged 82 years and 28 days.

The deceased came to this country in 1847, and was highly esteemed by neighbors and friends, and her death will be mourned by all. She leaves four sons and two daughters: _. M. and J. C., near Ceres; J. F. near Garnavillo; and C. _. in Olmsted, Minn; Mrs. George Ziegler, of Grand Meadow, and Mrs. L. Hartwig, of Clayton.
