Elkader Register, Thur., 20 Oct. 1898.

DIED - At her home near communia, on Saturday last, Mrs. Martha Harms, nee Kinderman, in the 58th year of her age. She was born in 1840 in Stetten-Pommerin, Germany, and came to Clayton County in 1861. Soon after she married Fred Greve who died in 1865. In 1866 she married Henry Harms, who survives her, with three step-children, two sons and a daughter. She was a kind and loving wife and is mourned by a large circle of friends. The funeral was held on Monday afternoon, Rev. Siefert officiating.
