The funeral of Mr. Fred Haman, who passed away so suddenly last week, was held on Friday, a large number of friends attending. Rev. Janzig preached the funeral sermon in the absence of Rev. O. Gammelin.

DIED - May 31, of bowel disease, Frederich Haman, born in Gros-Leach, Germany, July 7, 1831. In company with his wife and child he came to America in 18__, locating at Kendallville, Ind., where he resided for nine years. From that place he came to Garnavillo, where he has resided ever since. His death was very sudden, he having been confined to bed only one day. His wife and one daughter, Mrs. M. Havill, survive him. The funeral occurred June 3, Rev. Janzig, of Guttenberg, officiating. Our sympathies are with the bereaved ones.
