SINCLAIR, STEVEN, STEVENS, DRUMMOND

DIED - at the house of his brother-in-law, David Drummond, of McGregor, on Friday, May 6th, of Consumption, Robertson Sinclair, aged 32 years.

The deceased was a native of the City of Glasglow, Scotland, and had been nine years a resident of Clayton county, Iowa

Note: The marriage of Robertson Sinclair & Jesse Steven(s), "both of Clydesdale, Clayton County, Iowa" on 12/31/1850, is recorded in Book 1, Clayton County Return of Marriages, pg 49.

Pleasant Grove cemetery records the burial of David Drummond's 1st wife Margaret nee Stevens, Jesse's sister. The likely burial place of Robertson is in Pleasant Grove cemetery, but this has not been verified & no gravestone is extant.
