DIED - Mrs. Elizabeth Paine Daniels died Tuesday morning, Dec. 28, at her home of heart disease. She was born Jan. 5, 1837, in Oxford, Massachusetts.
In 1862 she married and came with her husband Charles E. Daniels, to McGregor, which has since been her home.
She leaves a husband and three daughters residing in McGregor, and a son whose home is in Azusa, Cal.
The people of McGregor were shocked Tuesday morning to hear of the death of Mrs. Daniels. While she had not been in good health for some weeks past, was not supposed to be so near the end.
She had been a resident of McGregor for more than thirty years, and made many warm friends during these years. She was a woman of rare culture and refinement, always taking a lively interest in leading events of the times. Especially was she interested in literature, to the study of which she gave much attention. She understood fully and practiced in her life the broad principles of true Christian charity.
Deeply religious from an early age, she had no fears of a dissolution of the body, but expressed herself ready for the great change. Such a Christian woman as Mrs. Daniels leaves a lasting impression for good on all with whom she meets in life, and the community is the poorer by her death.
