DIED - Mrs. Emery Sargent died at her home on Oct. 20, 1826. She had been ailing for two years with a cancer of the stomach and had been confined to her bed for the six weeks preceding her death. She was born March 10, 1826, making her 70 years, 7 months and one day old. Her early years were spent at her home in Canada. Of eleven children, but six are now living. Allen Sargent and Phebe Dunsmoor, of Cherokee, Ora Sargent, of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Fred Dunsmoor, Ira and Emery Sargent of this place: they were all present during her sickness. The funeral was on Wednesday conducted by Rev. Somer. The husband and children have the sympathy of all in their sorrow.
