MUELLER, UECKER, WITT, BREITSPRECHER

Elkader Register, Fri., 02 Oct. 1896.

Carl F. Wm. Mueller died at the residence of his niece, Mrs. Aug. Uecker, at this place, on Friday, Sept. 25th. He was born Dec. 7th, 1826, at Wussentin, Pomerania, Germany. He was married in 1852, and in 1863 with his family came to America and settled at Buffalo, where they resided two years. About 1865 they came to Clayton County, settling at Garnavillo. Two sons and one daughter were born to them, one of the sons dying at Buffalo. Mrs. Mueller died in 1876, and soon after Mr. M. moved to Clayton Center, where he has resided most of the time since, being here with his niece and nephew Mrs. Aug Uecker and Wm. Witt. He leaves one son and one daughter, Mrs. Mary Breitsprecher, of this township. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon from the East Side church, Rev. F. W. Seifert officiating.
