Thos. Connell died at his home in Read township on Saturday, after an illness of several weeks, with a complication of diseases. Deceased was born in said township about forty years ago, and grew to manhood there. Funeral services were held Monday at Garnavillo, Rev. Father Roedler officiating, assisted by Father Brinkman, of Guttenberg, and Rielly, of Elkader. His mother, Mrs. P. Connell, two brothers, Patrick and Jas., two sisters, Mrs. M. Fitzpatrick and Mrs. James Foran and other relatives and many friends survive him. May his soul rest with its creator is our sincere hope. - Democrat.
