At the residence of his parents, near this place on Monday evening, April 20th, 1896, after a short illness of lung trouble, occurred the death of Dixie Palmer. "Dick," as he was familiarly called, was born in Marquette County, Wis., Oct. 18th, 1861, and came to this county with his parents in 1864. Genial and good hearted, we shall remember him without the faults too common to many, and which he vainly endeavored to correct. The funeral Wednesday afternoon was conducted by Rev. F. I. Stevens, and largely attended by friends and family.
