DIED - At his residence on Monday evening, April 6th, Michael Galer, Sr., at the ripe old age of 86 years, 2 months and 15 days. He has been a sufferer from rheumatic troubles for many years, but on the day of his death had worked in his garden all day. After supper he was taken suddenly ill and died within an hour. Mr. Galer was born in Union County, Pa., and came to Cox Creek in 18_0, being one of the early settlers. He had many warm friends by whom he was highly respected. He leaves an aged wife and eleven children, two girls and nine sons, seven of the children living in this township; Mrs. Chas. H. Robbins being a daughter,, the other daughter residing in California. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon, the burial being at Mederville.
