Cross, William 'Will' died 1895

Wm. Cross was about twenty-seven years old. He has lived here four or five years, making a living by fishing and working at times at his trade of plastering. He has many friends among those who enjoy fishing and know him best.

His funeral was held Monday, Rev. L.?. Lockard officiating.

1895 Iowa State Census enumerated Will Cross, age 26, born Wisconsin, living in McGregor

He was murdered by Hans Allen, who then committed suicide.
