Elkader Register, Fri., 31 Jan. 1896. Osborne column.

DIED - At the residence of J. J. McDermott, Mrs. Mary Farry, mother of Mrs. McDermott, at the ripe old age of seventy-five years. Deceased was a venerable old lady, well known throughout the neighborhood and made hosts of friends wherever she went. Her remains were laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery of Cox Creek, followed by a large conclave of relatives and friends. Father Rowe officiating.
