On Monday the sad news came that Mrs. Chas. Schoch had died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Chas. Ritter, in Chicago, on Dec. 23d, 1895. Rosina Jaeger was born June 7th, 1824, in Wurtemburg, Germany, and came to the United States in 1844. She was married to Chas. Schoch, at Philadelphia in 1847, where they resided five years. In 1852 the family moved to Clayton County, where they have since resided. Her husband died Nov. 26, 1892. Six children, Geo. W. Schoch, Carrie Ritter, of Chicago, Rosa Ruegnitz, of Elgin, Ill., Linna Reichart, of Highland twp., and Charles and Henry Schoch of this city sincerely mourn the loss of a kind and loving mother.
The funeral was held from her late residence on Wednesday, Dec. 25, Rev. F. L. Fisk officiating. Her remains being laid to rest beside those of her late husband in the East Side cemetery.
