Elkader Register, Fri., 13 Sept. 1895.

On Friday last occurred the death of Jos. M. Boland, son of J. P. and May Boland, of Highland, after an illness of nine weeks with typhoid pneumonia. Joseph was born Jan. 9th, 1883, and was nearly thirteen years of age. The funeral was held at St. Joseph's church Sunday morning, Rev. Father Reilly officiating. It is sad that parents are called to part with their loved ones, and yet we can only bow in submission to Him who does all things well.
