She was the mother of five children, of whom four are left, with her husband, three sisters and three brothers, to mourn her loss. She was converted at the age of 18 years and joined the Free-Will church, being a faithful member until she was married, when she joined the M.E. church at Asbury, with her husband, being a faithful and consistent Christian up to her death, and gave evidence of her acceptance with God a few hours before her death. She was always patient and trustful. Her works were abundant and her memory will be cherished as a fond and devoted mother and a sincere friend always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Her remains were interred in the Asbury cemetery on Saturday, the 27th day of July. A large concourse of friends followed the remains to their last resting place. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J, H. Hoskyns, of Edgewood.
