Lindenberg, Christine 1844 - 1895

Elkader Register, Fri., 07 June 1895. Elkport column.

Our community was startled Monday morning by the report that Mrs. Lindenberg, of this twp., had killed herself by drowning in a cistern. Dr. Kriebs was notified and held an inquest, with the following jury, Wm. Brown, Peter Dietrich and F. J. Putz. The jury, after thoroughly investigating the case, returned a verdict of accidental drowning. The funeral took place Wednesday and was very largely attended. The bereaved have the sympathy of all in their sad affliction.
