DIED - On Wednesday morning, May 16th, at her home in Elkader, occurred the death of Mrs. Peter
Hennes. She had been in poor health for some time, but was able to be about until the last few days. She was born in Canton Wils, Luxemburg, Germany, in 1839, came to America in 1868, and was married the same year to Peter Hennes, who, with their two sons, John and Joseph, remain to mourn the loss of a good wife and mother. The funeral will be held at the Catholic church Saturday, at 10 o'clock a.m.
