The remains of Mrs. Nellie Gee were brought to this place last Thursday morning for interment. The funeral services were attended by a large concourse of friends, Rev. G. S. Roberts preaching the sermon. Mrs. Gee was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Welch, of this place, and died at her home in Omaha, Thursday, July 25, 1893, aged 43 years, after a protracted illness. Her mother was summoned to her bedside the week before she died and returned with her remains, Mrs. Gee's son accompanying her. Mr. and Mrs. John Welch, Sr., of Strawberry Point, a brother from Minnesota, and a sister, Mrs. Fontaine, of Detroit were present at the funeral services.
