THEISE, THEES, WILKE

Elkader Register, Thur., 16 Mar. 1893.

At his home in Clayton Center, on the 10th inst., occurred the death of Geo. Thees, as a result of la grippe. He was born in Ohio, in 1866, and came to this country about seven years ago. Some two years since he was united in marriage to Sophie Wilke, daughter of F. W. Wilke, of Read. About two months since their child died and now the father is called, leaving the widow and mother disconsolate. The funeral was held on Sunday last at Clayton Center.

Note: George & Sophia's marriage record spells his surname as THEISE & states he was s/o J. & Maria (Greive) Theise.
