Grandma Knee died last Friday evening of paralysis. Funeral services were held at the M.E. church Sunday, at 1:30 p.m., conducted by Rev. T. W. Potter, and she was laid at rest in Brown's cemetery north of town. Her age was 78 years, 6 months and 25 days. She leaves eleven grown children to mourn her loss. Her husband preceded her a number of years ago.

(Note: WPA records indicate Katherine Knee, 1814 - 1893, buried in Brown cemetery.)
