DIED - At the home of his son, Thomas Barton, in Volga, Monday, Feb. 27, 1893, Mr. Michael Barton, aged nearly 100 years. Deceased was one of the early settlers of Sperry township, coming here in the spring of 1855. He was a native of Ireland. Several children, a large number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren survive him. Many will miss the aged and bent figure of the old man, who, with his cane, walked down our streets on pleasant days. Funeral services and interment will take place at the Cox Creek Catholic church.
