Elkader Register, Thur., 16 Feb. 1893.

At her home in Cox Creek twp., on Feb. 5th, 1893, occurred the death of Annie, beloved wife of Felix Farmer, aged 22 years, 4 months and 15 days. She was born Sept. 20th, 1871, at Elkport, Iowa, her maiden name being Annie Flagherty. In January, 1886 she was united by marriage to Mr. Farmer, to whom were born two sons, James and Joseph, aged 6 and 4 years.

Last summer Mrs. Farmer contracted that dread disease consumption, and all that kind friends and medical skill could do was of no avail. She leaves to mourn her untimely death, a bereaved husband, two sons, a father, two brothers and a large number of friends. She was a devoted wife, a kind mother, and a lady highly respected by all who knew her. Her remains were interred in the Cox Creek cemetery, Feb. 7th, Rev. Father Rowe, officiating, being followed to their last resting place by a large concourse of sorrowing friends. May her soul and all souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.
