Elkader Register, Thur., 16 Feb. 1893. Littleport column.

The angel of death has again appeared among us and snatched from our midst Mary Buechel, aged 17 years. This comes upon us very suddenly, as only 5 days ago she was in her usual health. Mary was one of our most estimable young ladies and will be sadly missed among her circle of young friends. The funeral was held on Tuesday Rev. Dollard officiating, and the remains were laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery.
