Elkader Register, Thur., 08 Nov. 1894. Elkport column.

Elizabeth Schroeder was born in 1823 and came to America in 18_3 (looks like 1833 or 1853), settling in Volga twp., where she lived until her death. She was the wife of John Schroeder. She died Saturday, Nov. 3d, 1894, and was buried Monday, Rev. Fuchs officiating. She leaves four children, Mrs. Frank Kafer, Mrs. Meyer, of Postville, Mrs. Johnson and Henry Schroeder, of Elkport. The bereaved family have the sympathy of all in their sad affliction.

John & Elizabeth Schrader have a gravestone in the Immanuel Lutheran cemetery, Elkport. Her dates:
March 26, 1823 - November 3, 1894
