Elkader Register, Thur., 08 Feb. 1923. Luana column.

Mrs. Jno. Walch died at her home west of town Friday Feb. 2nd. Funeral was held Monday morning, 9 o'clock, at the house and ten o'clock in the Catholic church at Monona. Her husband having passed away the week previous.

(Note: WPA records indicate Mathilda Walch, 1850 - 1923, buried in St. Patrick's cemetery.)
