Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 05 Dec. 1918. Elkport column.

The remains of John Putz, Sr., who died at Edgewood last Friday, were brought to Elkport for burial on Monday morning. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. D. T. Minogue, and interment was made at the Catholic Cemetery, Deceased was nearly eighty-nine years old, and had a host of friends here who will miss him sadly.
