The funeral of William Wylie Franks, which was held in this city last Friday afternoon, was largely attended by relatives and friends from far and near, which showed that deceased was held in high regard by all who knew him.

(Note: WPA records show dates as 1853 - 14 Jan., 1918. The IGPP gravestone photo in Guttenberg City cemetery shows Wylie W. Franks, 1852 - 1918.)
