On Saturday morning, July 14, 1917, at 1:30 o'clock, at her home in this city, Mrs. Louise Erdmann, nee Hoppe, passed away, after an illness of about two years duration. Deceased was born on March 4, 1844, at Lesering, Germany, and in the year 1870, came to America, settling at Guttenberg, Iowa, where she lived until her death. She was 72 years, 3 months and 21 days of age at the time of her death. She was married in Guttenberg, Iowa, in the year 187_ to William Erdmann, who survives her. She was a kind and loving wife, sister and friend, and was a woman who was held in high esteem by all who knew her and will be sadly missed by all. Besides her husband, one brother, Ernst Hoppe, of Algona, Iowa, and a number of other relatives and friends deeply mourn her death. Funeral services were held at the Erdmann home on Monday afternoon, July 16, 1917, Attorney A. H. Borman, of this city, conducting funeral services. Interment was made in the City Cemetery. The funeral was largely attended.
