The remains of Miss Ella Stearns were brought here Tuesday from Independence for burial. She suffered from a nervous breakdown five years ago and was taken there for medical treatment. Funeral services occurred at the M.E. church Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. C. J. Ro_e, of Ma_o_ville. W. W. Stearns, a brother of the deceased, his wife and son, of Humboldt, attended the funeral.
