Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 16 Dec. 1909. Littleport column.

Mrs. Gottschalk Peick died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S. M. Stalnaker, last Thursday night, after an illness extending over a considerable period of time. She was an old resident of this vicinity and her passing adds another to the list of early settlers. Four daughters and a son of her immediate family were present at the funeral, besides several other relatives. The funeral took place from the family home, burial at the cemetery south of town. We are, at this writing, without further data.
