At his home in Garnavillo, Iowa, occurred the death of Jos. Limbach. He was born Jan. 10, 1825, in Reishitzen Krs. Altenkirchen Reg. Bez. Coblenz, Rhein, Preusen, Europe. In 1854 he came to America and settled in Chicago. After leaving Chicago he located for a brief period in Milwaukee and other places, working at his trade, that of wagon maker. In 1857 he came to Garnavillo, where in 1858 he was married to Eva Stamm. Five children were born to this union, Henry, of this place; Anna Seippel, of Milwaukee, Wis.; Augusta Leanord, of Fargo, N.D.; Amelia Peick, who died in 1894; and Joseph, who died in infancy. His wife and three children, besides thirteen grandchildren are left to mourn his loss. He was a patient sufferer for the past three years. Funeral services were held Monday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Joseph's church, conducted by Rev. Raedler, and interment took place in the new cemetery.
