Edna A. Baker, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Noble A. Baker, was born February 24th, 1888, in Buchanan County, Iowa, being one of a family of seven, Henry and Leroy passing away in infancy only a week apart. At the age of seven she moved with her parents to Decatur, Ill., living there until her father's death on May 7th, 1899. Then with her mother, two brothers, Howard and Richard, and two sisters, Ethel and Louisa, she moved to these parts at the age of 11 years, where she lived until the age of sixteen with her mother, brothers and sisters, then moved to Laport, Texas, where she only lived one month, when she was united in marriage to Warren Pugh, starting back to Iowa the same day and has lived here ever since. To this union one son was born, Noble P. Pugh, aged three years.
She passed away after only a few short hours illness Feb. 4th, 1909, at the age of 20 years, 11 months and 11 days, at her home near Mederville. She had been a Royal Neighbor since November 14th, 1908.
