The demise of Mrs. Ingred Kirkeberg occurred Friday, January 29th, at the home of her son east of this city. Mrs. Kirkeberg was almost eighty-eight years of age at the time of her death. She was an early settler of Clayton county. About a half century ago the family immigrated to this country from their native land, coming across the ocean in a sailing vessel. The voyage took about ten weeks and was filled with privations and peril. Her husband died some years ago and a family of seven children, three sons and four daughters, besides numerous relatives and friends are left to mourn the loss of this loved one. Appropriate funeral services were held from the home Wednesday and interment was made in the Gunder cemetery. - Elgin Echo.
