G. Hinkley Fonda died Thursday morning in Iowa City, having been in poor health, and after suffering a relapse and being very ill, submitted to another operation, but it was the Lord's will, and after several days passed to his reward. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Flavilla Foote Fonda; two daughters, Miss Esther Fonda and Mrs. Edward Wirkler, both of Monona; one sister, his twin sister, Miss G. Helen Fonda, of Monona; one brother, William Fonda, of Dickens, Iowa, and one grandchild who was his pride, little Janet Elaine Wirkler, of Monona. Funeral services were held at four o'clock Friday afternoon in Iowa City and at ten-thirty Saturday morning in the Monona City cemetery. Mr. Fonda was born and reared near Monona and has many friends who mourn his departure.
