Mrs. Bernys Hines, widow of the late William Hines, of Dubuque, died Friday July 13 at 8:30 a.m. in Finley hospital in Dubuque, after a long illness.
December 18th, 1905, she was united in marriage to William Hines. Eight children were born to them, Byron, Cecil, Ralph, Carl, Elinor (Mrs. Stanley Wiezorck), Gladys, Dorothy and Pauline.
Mr. Hines death occurred March 18, 1926, his death resulting from a fall while he was employed as a landscape worker.
Besides her children, Mrs. Hines leaves to mourn for her, her father and mother, two brothers, Lester and Clare, and two sisters, Dorothy and Mrs. Gladys Kahrs, all of Strawberry Point. She also leaves nine grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, July 15th, at the Egelhof funeral home in Dubuque, Rev. A. J. Lechner, pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran church of Dubuque, officiating.
Burial was made by the side of her husband in the Cox Creek cemetery. The pall bearers were James Debes, Roy Hines, Reid Dillon, Gregor Debes, Sol Childers and Miles Alderson.
