Gottlieb Wolf passed away at his home in this city Wednesday morning, Feb. 15, aged 78 years. Deceased was born in Ulm, Wurtemburg, Germany, Aug. 29, 1827, and came to this country in his youth and since then has made Guttenberg his home. He was married in 1858, his wife dying a few years ago. When the Civil War broke out Mr. Wolf enlisted and marched to the front. At the time of his death he was an honored member of Hassendeifel Post No. 140, G.A.R. He was a carpenter by trade and followed that occupation until within a few years ago. He had been afflicted with asthma for many years and that together with old age was the cause of death. The funeral will be held tomorrow (Saturday) from the Lutheran church at 2:00 p.m. Seven children survive him, three sons and four daughters, viz.: Otto of Plains, Mont.; Mrs. John Christenson, Belknap, Mont.; Mrs. N. M. Perrine, Winthrop, Wash.; Mrs. Geo. Aulwes, Cottonwood, Idaho; Mrs. John Meng, Bagley, Wis.; Albert and Fred, Guttenberg.
